I don't believe Rid-Ich has any copper, just formaldehyde and/or
Malachite Green. Malachite Green, the medicine, which is an aniline
dye, is not to be confused with the mineral after whose color the dye
is named. The mineral does contain copper but is a different from ich
treatments.

Anachris (elodea) is sensitive to a lot of things, including high
temps, formaldehyde, copper, yet in many conditions grows like a
hellish weed.
