From what I have observed and experienced, E. tenellus
can vary greatly in height, sometimes growing to over
1.5 feet.  I think this is conditions-dependent, and I
am not sure what the magic formula is for keeping it
lower.

Having said that, there is a different form of chain
sword that is featured in Amano's aquascapes.  It has
thinner leaves, red highlights, and stays short (I
think).  I saw it once for sale on aquabid.com, and
like a fool, passed on it.  I too am interested in
acquiring this form of chain sword.
