RE: Aquatic Plants Digest V4 #1292

Dave,
I have crushed coral in the filter, which brought the KH up from 3.5 to 5.5,
so I am assuming it has raised the GH in a similar way. My GH test is hosed
& I haven't been able to get a new one.

I have started adding Flourish at 1ml/day. Do you think this is enough iron
and traces? If this IS the magic bullet, will the hair algae miraculously
disappear? The brown cloud algae seems to be losing the fight, but maybe it
is just being choked out by the hair algae. Will the hair algae kill my
plants?

Thanks for all your help.
