Canister Filter Specs
After the discussion about Eheims vs Marineland vs etc. , I collected
some comparison data. If anyone has access to a Marineland Canister,
let me know how many qt.s or gal.s you can pour into it. I emailed
Aquaria Inc (Marineland) and was told that the question, "What is the
volume of the media container?" was too complicated to answer via
email. I called them and was told the volume was 0.09 gallons --
obviously an underestimation! Hagen hasn't responded at all.
I would have listed prices, but they vary widely from time to time and
seller to seller for the same models. So shop around.

* Half the time, water is pumped out of filter and the other half of
the time water is
pumped in, so the through rate for the fresh filter rate is 1/2 of 145
or about 73 gph.
