There was a discussion on Flourish Excel about a year ago on this mailing
list. Apparently, its something called polycycloglutaracetal, a structurally
equivalent to common photosyythesis intermediates, i.e. things the plants
can absorb directly, without going through all the trouble doing
photosynthesis.

I honestly don't have a clue what I am talking about... just copied things
off the web. :-)
