I can't remember who, but someone asked what CEC meant. I found the answer at the Krib (which never stopped working for me) and decided to post it here for the other newbies who might not know. CEC = cation exchange capacity = the ability to absorb positively charged nutrient ions. From what I gather this is a good thing and a higher CEC is better. Lorna (still learning).
