1. SAE's will eat anything. Flake food, algae,
beefheart, bloodworms, brine shrimp, even discus
slime.
2. SAE's get big fast.
I don't want them getting any bigger, any faster. I
don't think the algae wafers are necessary, either for
their growth or health. Of course, people like Tom
Barr, who don't have any algae in their tanks (unlike
me) may have a different experience. :)
