Dennis,

Please be more careful with your use of terms.  TDS meters don't read
hardness.  Furthermore, any "hardening solution" that adds minerals that
can't be measured with a normal hardness test kit isn't adding hardness.

There's plenty of information at the Krib on what hardness is and
isn't.  It would be good for you to review before you add more to the
confusion over an already confusing subject.
