I just prepped my quaranteen (sp) tank to house a Siamese Algae Eater for a few days before introducing him to my main tank and discovered the pH of our tap water was way over 7.4, the limit of my test kit. It usually hangs around 7. Our city water supply comes from the local river. Could this be an effect of spring runoff from the farmers fields? --
