Hi Mitch,

I don't have any experience with blueline ballasts but check out an article
in this years Marine & Reef USA 2001 Annual by Fancy Publishing:

In it they have an article by Sanjay Joshi & Dave Morgan:

Spectral Analysis of Metal Halide Lamps
The reef aquarium has been an untapped source of information for scientists
and researchers. 

They discuss the profromance of the blueline, icecap and pfo ballasts with
various MH bulb combinations.  A really good read and it will help you
decide if the blueline and your choice of bulbs is a good idea.

Good luck & post some pics & info on this big tanks when you get it up and
running.
