I have been battleing algea in 2 different tanks, with totally different
water types.
I just recently (4 days ago) began adding some Muriate of Potash and
additional prepared plant food.
It may be my imagination, but I think I am already begining to see an
improvement. Large oval leaved sword leaves seem a little brighter
green, & the thick slimey algea on the older leaves of some red rubin(?)
swords seems to be declining.
M of P is cheap. $5.00 for a 5 lbs bag. Another poster here helped me
out with the quantity to dose, 1/4 tsp per 20 gallons.
Time will tell how successfull this is. I will post updates
