It is not a good way.  Beside the amount of stress to you, and to the fish, bleach
will only kill the algae in there at the moment.   More will just grow in 
it's place.  If you've got algae, then you've got nutrient problems.   Fix
those problems, and the algae goes away.

Algae isn't a bacteria or virus that must be treated.   Just eliminate the
nutrients that the algae is feeding off of, and it goes away.   Even after
bleaching, you will have more algae problems unless you fix the nutrient 
problem.
