Re: CO2 System

Catalin,

I have tried to do a bunch of research online on the topic and the stuff out there is really confusing. I was in the market to set up my own system and really had a hard time deciding what to do. There are a couple of good sites out there that I found, namely:

http://www.wcf.com/ Dave Gomberg sells a complete system where all you need is the tank
http://www.geocities.com/bwe407/poll_nn4.html This page shows the results of a poll of what systems various people use
http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/diy_co2rig.htm Chuck Gadd has some good descriptions of a build it yourself system
http://www.geocities.com/nguyenhg/ A similar page by Hoa Nguyen

One of the things that I found most frustrating was I could never find a "layman's" description of the difference between a high pressure and a low pressure system, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of each. The only real difference that I can see between the two kinds is that the high pressure system does not use a needle valve (used to regulate the amount of flow of CO2 into the aquarium) and the low pressure system does. I ended up getting one of Dave Gomberg's systems b/c all the parts came in one kit. I really felt like I was looking around in the dark for individual parts. The reviews of Dave's systems seemed to be good on the poll page.

Hope that helps somewhat.
