RE: MTS

Don't underestimate the ability of those lousy ramshorn snails to clean your
tank. I have a 29 gal. where the cleanup crew consists of, two albino
corys three female guppies and a fair amount of ramshorn snails. Heavily
planted with 2 wts per gal. next to a south window. Green algae on the sword
and crypt leaves were a problem until I added ramshorn snails from an
outside pond. Problem solved. In a very short time they consumed every
trace. I had one large leaf (Cryptocoryne beckettii) that was covered with
a thick mat, the snails seemed to avoid it. I hand placed about ten of them
on the leaf. One day later the leaf was pristine.
