Before dreaming up new scientific names you should read the International
Code of Botanical Nomenclature (the Tokyo Code, see
http://www.bgbm.fu-berlin.de/iapt/nomenclature/code/tokyo-e) :-)
You can not just your self introduce a new species variant. The rules are
much more lax with trade names, but I must admit I am not familiar with
these rules. I guess you could introduce the name 
	Hemianthus micranthemoides 'Perlgrass'
(I think the genus should be Hemianthus). But even then you should make very
sure this is some identifiable and different form of the species.
