Re: tank sizes
On the discussion about tank sizes, take a look into the Dutch web site
(http://www.nbat.nl). Their tanks are typically large (> 100 gal),
long (>= 5'), wide (> 20") and shallow (< 24") when compared with
typical American tanks. So they allow for better light penetration,
easier access and more depth effect. And they avoid the focus problem by
simply using a very small number of plant species, again when compared
with typical American tanks. A large 200 gal tank may harbor typicaly
12-15 species at most.
