Since there are many ancistrus species, many with "bristlenoses", you should simply try and find someone who has a breeding pair of fish that don't damage plants. And make sure you have wood in the tank. I have many (up to 5 adults in a 65) A.dolicopterus (sp?) in my tanks and only notice damage when there's no wood in the tank for them to gnaw on.
