Brian,

Awhile back, maybe a year or so, I had both a Tetra and an Aquarium
Pharmaceuticals nitrate test kits, which were giving me off the wall readings,
with a 10-20 ppm difference.

I mixed up a known concentration of kno3 and RO water and checked that.  The AP
kit was dead nuts on while the Tetra kit read about 20ppm too high.  I think the
Tetra kit even cost more.
