Chuck Gadd responded about night viewing lights with suggestions for
LED's and mention of a filtered flashlight...

IME, if the fish react to "red" light it means only an inadequate
filter.  for a flashlight I use either multiple layers of commercial
cellophane, or a single layer of stained glass that is a dense red, not
an almost transparent red.  If you can read the paper through it, it is
not enough.
