Ott Lites were developed for hand stitchers (needlepoint, counted cross
stitch, etc).  As one of those folks, I've tried them out and was impressed
- but for stitching, not lighting an aquarium.    They throw intense light
in a (relatively) small area; you'd need a lot of them to light anything
more than a 10G tank.   Can't speak to their daylight replication but I can
tell you that they get HOT.
