Please share with us exactly what it was you did to stop this.

I like my wet/dry if for no other reason than I wanted a sump to keep 
heaters, etc, in and I even inject the CO2 and run the UV sterilizer out of 
it now. This looks better and leaves more room in the tank for plants, but I 
do hate the splashing noises and even though my CO2 levels are fine at 9psi, 
I don't want to change CO2 tanks any more often than I have to. By nature, I 
hate to waste anything - even CO2.
