All this talk about light intensity and no one has mentioned the posting Erik
Olson made in 98 about calculating proper wattage with respect to surface
area rather than volume of the tank. He notes that Amano's use of light is
proportional to the surface area of a tank rather than its volume. And, even
if we don't agree with his methods or philosophy, few of us would deny that
the end product of his means is sweeeeeet.
