RE: shrimp in unheated tanks

Hi June,

I can't say about golfish and shrimp together, but I do have a small 10
gallon set up (Eclipse hood) with a few guppies (4, all females now) and
about a dozen little shrimps (2 bumblebees and about 6-10 'Algae Eating
Shrimp' which look like the description I have heard for rainbow shrimp). No
heat, lightly planted with crypts, water sprite, java and willow moss,
riccia, hygro and lots of duckweed. This is an almost no maintenance tank-
both the shrimp and the guppies eat the duckweed and algae. It seems in
perfect balance, everyone is happy and there is almost no algae growth.

Subject: Goldfish and shrimp intrxns?

Do shrimp like unheated freshwater tanks?
Will shrimp disturb/snap at the fantails?
Are there other goldfish-compatible algae eaters?

Thanks in advance, and apologies for being long-winded,
