On the CO2 Page at http://www.frii.com~booth/Aquatic Concepts/Co2/co2_faq.htm 
the following recipe is given:1 teaspoon of baking soda will increase the KH 
of 13 gallons of water by about 4dKH. Be mindful that adding baking soda will 
cause the pH to rise as well.
