Last time I ordered plants from AAG, I noticed they had lots of different colors of apple/mystery snails available. I asked them about the snails and plants, and they assured me that they are not really suitable for aquariums. They sell them as algae controllers for ponds. Without enough algae, they turn to the plants to satisfy their dietary needs. Bob Dixon
