kitty litter success story

Im getting into this conversation a little late, but here's an example of a
successful kitty litter tank. It's a 55 gallon with 160 W fl. lighting.
The kitty litter is covered with sandblasting sand and has some osmocote
mixed in. (i'll leave this out next time due to the phospates, which are
also high in my tap)
I've had excellent results with every plant i've put into this tank. Some
heavy root feeders such as swords and vals have failed due to proximity to a
large # of crypts, but overall I am *very* pleased with the results.
Just my 2 cents.
