You are correct in thinking that they would look good in a planted tank - in
fact, a large school of them looks magnificient in a big planted tank.
Breeding them is not difficult, but raising the fry can be a challenge
because they are so small when newly hatched. You have to have a steady
supply of VERY tiny live food for the fry, it takes at least a week before
they are big enough to handle freshly hatched brine shrimp. I've had success
with infusoria
