Re: "Commercial" presence (was APD V4 #127

Hello Dave,

I don't know what the big ado is about!

Knowing where one can get what is part of one's hobby, part of the
"expertise". Experienced aquarists know it, but where does a neophyte
learn it, if not from a list like this? Yes, I know -- apprenticeship --
but did it not go out with the horse & buggy?

I have never ordered from anybody on this list but, should I need
something that is being offered, I know where to go. That is valuable
knowledge of itself, part of being a hobbyist. So, why should I be
deprived of the opportunity to keep my knowledge current?

All the offers that I have seen on this list (and on several others I am
on) have been unobtrusive, intended to be helpful and not, really,
commercial.

To those that bother to help others -- even if they make a buck or two
doing it -- keep up the good work, the hobby needs you!

Best,

George
