My aquarium has a PH of around 8.2.... I am also having a very difficult
time gettting rid of or even managing BBA and Thread Algae.

I would like to get some SAE's but i live in an area where they aren't
very common. Besides i would like to balance my tank so that BBA won't
even grow. Should I just load up my tank with plants so that the algae has
no chances of getting any nutrients? 

Any thoughts will help,
