Re: aquatic orchid



The ones I've seen sold under this name have all been either Spiranthes 
cernua or Spiranthes odorata. The may live for a short while underwater,but 
to grow them to their proper size and bloom them,they need to be potted into 
a moisture retaining mix (long fiber sphagnum works well) and grown in a 
humid environment out of water. The flowers are small and cream to celery 
green.
