Planting techniques

David Berryman was asking about better ways to plant plants. A couple of ideas
off the top of my head. You could try dipping the paper towels in a slurry of
redart clay and letting it dry. I don't know if it would retain its shape in the
water long enough to get planted. An other idea would be to try peat pots. Then
you have to deal with a localized acidic area around your plant. You can also
get small plastic mesh pots at hydroponic supply stores. Just line them with the
paper towel and plant away. Once the paper towel broke down, I doubt if they
would restrict plant growth much.
I have not tried any of these so try at your on risk.
Good luck
