Noisy overflow

my biggest concern is slurping noise.

It made this slurping noise that drove me mad!!!!  How would you 
prevent such noise from
happening to something like a 1/2" PVC fitting.

Hi there
	You can eliminate the slurping noise with airline tubing. Cut 
a piece of airline tubing that is long enough to be put inside your 
overflow tube and down a bit. Have the other end above the surface of 
the tank water. Doing this allows air to get down into your overflow 
tube and stops the slurps.
