Sorry, not wishing to start a flame war but just to provide
a little scientific curiosity . . . if you commit suicide by running
your car in the garage what kills you is carbon monoxide
poisoning.  The hemoglobin in your blood is 250 times more
attracted to carbon monoxide than it is to oxygen (this is
okay in evolutionary terms because there are few sources
of carbon monoxide in nature).  All of the hemoglobin gets
bound up with carbon monoxide and none is available to
carry oxygen.  You actually die of oxygen starvation, but it
has nothing to do with the oxygen content of the local air.

There is probably no carbon monoxide in the equation for
co2 and o2.
