POSITION VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
NATIONAL 4-H COUNCIL


Position Title:		Program Coordinator I

Division/Office/Unit:	Youth-Corporate Connections Team

Type of Position:	Exempt/Regular/Full-Time (37.5 hours per
week)

Salary:			$37,568/Year

Starting Date:	 	As soon as a suitable candidiate can be
found.

Job Summary: 		Write proposals to submit to potential
corporate partners and foundations.  Coordinate and write various
program updates that are sent electronically to multiple audiences. 
Manage the day-to-day implementation and evaluation of several YCC
projects.  Partner in the development of new program concepts and
propose provisions in ongoing projects.  Compose correspondense to
funding partners, program development/implementation partners, etc. 
Conduct and design worskshops and trainings.  Partner with and manage
youth-led program team.  Manage various program budgets.  Partner in
the development of relationships and proposals with potential and
continuing funding partners.  Maintain and develop effective
relationships with "outside vendors," current and potential program
partners, etc.  Manage project office materials, schedules, and
files.

Qualifications:		Proposal writing and program planning
experience a must.  Writing samples must be submitted during the
interview process.  Two to three years of multi-task, logistical, and
program development work experience.  Ability to work and communicate
with corporate partners.  Ability to work and problem solve
independently.  Proven attention to detail. Ability to write and edit
high-quality correspondence and printed material.  Productive under
deadlines and multiple pressures.  Ability to work with a team in a
planned and coordinated effort.  Ability to work in full partnership
with youth and adults.  Experience with GroupWise (e-mail) and
Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Knowledge or ability
to learn software to produce project schedules, timelines, graphs,
charts, spreadsheets, flyers, brochures, and other project management
tools.  Travel required.

Job Summary: 	Coordinate logistics for workshops/trainings and
program development meetings.  Manage and coordinate filing system for
Resource Development.  Manage the day-to-day implementation or
evaluation of components of specific projects, partner in conducting
workshops, provide administrative support to project directors, and
maintain relationships with outside audiences.  Partner in the
development of new program concepts and propose provisions in ongoing
projects.  Partner in the development of proposals with potential and
continuing funding partners.  Maintain and develop effective
relationships with "outside vendors," current and potential program
partners, etc.  Manage project office materials, schedules, and files.
 Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:	One to two years of multi-task, logistical,
and program development work experience.  Ability to work and problem
solve independently.  Proven attention to detail.  Ability to write
