My question is this: is there normally a greater diversity of fish
species
the closer you get to a large river?
The answer in most cases is yes, because the streams to large rivers
also serve as nurseries for river fish.
I know of a major nursery for Shortnose Gars on the missouri river and
have collected often there. Anybody, want some?
