Look on the ventral side between the tail and the cephlothorax (the typical
"down there" place).  Females will have a simple orifice, males will have 4
white small leg-like structures around the orifice.

 Is there a way to sex crayfish when the females are not carrying eggs?
I have 6 in a 70 gallon tank that are almost full grown. Would like to
thin them out, but  also insure that there is at least one pair in the
tank. Would like to see if they will mate next spring in the tank.
