NFC: telephone
OK, I know I have asked this question before and received a less than warm
welcome due to the legal implications. I need to know how to make a hand
cranked electric catfish rig more powerful. I have some idea's (trust me when
I say that this is completely legal where I live and helps to keep down the
populations of catfish caught between locks and damns on the river). Any
Idea's will be gratefully accepted. I have some questions of my own, first
this is a hand cranked generator, I assume it puts out DC current.
1 does the speed of the crank increase the voltage and amperage?
2 does the strength of the magnets around the armature increase the voltage
and the amperage?
3 could electromagnets made with deep cycle trolling motor type batteries be
used to make strong magnets to turn the armature through? I know heat would be
a problem but water cooling might be able to overcome that.
The basic question is how do you make the best possible hand cranked catfish
telephone rig? I have tried the news groups around catfishing but all I get is
derision from people that refuse to believe electrofishing is legal or
ethical. Under the unusual circumstances in this on spot it is both. Can
someone or a group of people help me with this? Thanks guys, I knew you'd come
