Ilyodon furcidens is a Highland Mexican goodied from Colima and Jalisco,
Mexico. It comes from free flowing and standing water with a general temp of
22 to 28C. It likes a planted tank of about 30 gallons with plenty of
swimming room. Gestation is , like most goodieds about 55 to 60 days. A
varied diet including vegetable matter is important. You can expect a brood
in the number of 15 to 30 fry. The fry start to mature in 5 months feeding of
live food and algae.
