On January 25, 1999, the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife issued
a Scientific Collection Permit to the NFC for 21 species of fish species
native to Vermont. NFC members who are allowed to collect fish under
this permit include Dwight Moody, Davidde Mylott, Chris Darrow, William
Duzen and Josh Wiegert, all of which are allowed to capture up to 24
individuals of the listed species for the evaluation of their
suitability for maintenance in aquaria, development of life history
information and captive breeding methodologies. Persons who wish
additional information about this permit and the research described in
the application may contact Dwight Moody, NFC Secretary/Treasurer, by
