My 50 gallon  humilus/North Carolina marginatus tank is filtered by two
foam filters each rated for 50 gallons, plus i reccomend water changes,
and lots of  floating plants, and submerged/rooted ones if you can get
them to do well (unlike myself, rooted plants are usually not found in my
aquariums). Also watch your feedings, as what you put in, is always in
until you change water, extra heavy feedings require replacement of
"sewage" water.
