I am also looking for a smaller/ less expensive device.. ihave a small pond
I am interested in shicking to get a better idea of the overall fish
population.  There is a website selling plans for a sjocker for $6.  But I'm
somewhat skeptical.  If you have had any luck I would love to know.  If
interested the site is theinformationcenter.com
