Luke, and everyone,

  I see what you mean.   It's like the fish stocking of  Largemout bass,
Bluegill, Black Crappie, and  Yellow Perch localy in the past.  These
managed  lakes have poorer quality than the ones that have a natural
inflow of dozens  of species.    Makes you think, hey , maybe these
non-game and "rough" fish must have something important to contribute to
the ecosystem.
