NFC gets a Maine Scientific-collecting permit
The state of Maine has granted the NFC a scientific collecting permit.
The Permit allows specific NFC designees to collect small groups of a
great many species of fish for the purposes of life history work. The NFC
will publish these life histories on their Website. The NFC hopes to
document the life histories of every fish species of the North American
Continent and in the process get the proper collecting permits in all 50
states plus the Canadian and Mexican Provinces. This permit while only
the third one received by the NFC is an important step towards that goal.
