FW: name change for squawfishes

A note from Dan Logan to me. I had asked Dan what he knew about the
common name change of the squawfish to pikeminnow. The "Carl" briefly
mentioned is ichthyologist Carl Bond.

So the name "squawfish" is no more. We now have the Colorado
pikeminnow, northern pikeminnow, Umpqua pikeminnow and the Sacramento
pikeminnow.

Good Sunday morning, Jay.

I hope that you are having a great time with the NANFA meeting this
weekend. I look forward to hearing all about the fun!

Attached in a note from Joe Nelson about squawfish - or should I say
pikeminnow!

Dan

** Remember that all fish are native to somewhere, and only there!
