Sure, transplant away! You probably wouldn't have to. There was another
post today to the lists about a dry pond that was rejuvenated and grew it's
own plants. Plant seeds and pieces will be carried into the pond by a
stream or by birds, mammals and reptiles. Lot's of seeds are moved aroung
in the guts of animals including fish. They eat them one place and drop
them later in another.
