Robert, I really like you`re concept of a"Ditch Tank"! My fish collection
consists
of the exact three species you mention, i.e. Heterandria formosa, Elassoma
evergladei and Leptolucania ommata.

However, if you really want to see these small species "shine" in full color,
I
would put some black gravel in there!
