G'day folks

This email list hates me I think. I've not seen this one come back from
the list and it hasn't bounced back to me so I don't know where it is. I

only posted it 10 days ago.....seems to be an ongoing battle I have
emailing to nanfa at aquaria_net for some reason. Every other computer
seems to like me, or at least tolerate me ..... :-)

Just thought I'd fill youse in on some of my activities over the Xmas
break. I had two trips to Ash Meadows (on my way to and from the Bay
Area, CA), and spent almost 5 days there mostly trapping exotics. Mike
Baltzly, another AZ NANFA member joined me for a couple of days. We
mostly trapped three springs, and dipnetted a couple of others. Overall
over 8,500 exotics were removed (two of the springs trapped are the worst

in Ash Meadows for exotics). The two worst were (mostly for Chris
Scharpf's benefit),

Longstreet Spring
bullfrogs	4046
crayfish	329
damnbusia	294
mollies 186 (mollies don't trap very well)

Bradford Spring
crayfish	2279
damnbusia	537
bullfrogs	3

Jackrabbit and Rogers springs were also sampled intensively, though only
relatively few exotics were removed as they had been collected heavily
for some time previous.

Next major conservation trip will be to the Moapa River near Glendale
NV. The Moapa River is springfed and used to be a tributary to the
Virgin River, it now flows into Lake Mead. It will be during March
19-21. More details will come soon, everyone is welcome to attend.

Cheers
