Robert

I presume you know about this? This sounds like what you were talking
about at an earlier point.

As many of you have no doubt heard, Teaming with Wildlife (the fish and
wildlife diversity funding initiative) has been gaining momentum, and if
at
all possible, the legislation will be submitted to Congress in a few
weeks.
The National Coalition now stands at almost 2000 organizations and
businesses, 10 governors have endorsed the proposal, and we now have some
significant business endorsements from affected industries. For more
information regarding Teaming with Wildlife please view our updated web
page
(note new url) at

http://www.teaming.com/

The time has come for those interested in promoting this idea to contact
their representatives in Congress. If you need addresses, phone numbers,
or
email for your representatives you can pull up the directory at the
Library
of Congress at

http://thomas.loc.gov:80/home/thomas.html

The TWW web site includes a sample letter.

This initiative promises to change the landscape of fish, wildlife, and
habitat conservation in the United States. We are very close to success,
but it will only work if the conservation community, including
conservation
professionals, are vocal about this issue.

Virginia Coalition for Teaming with Wildlife
