I disagree with the trumpet snails "not belonging" in the native fish tank. I understand they come from another continent, but have found them to be useful. Besides, many of the plants we use in our tanks are not "native" but naturalized. I've found a small group of darters and/or some sunfish will QUICKLY rid a tank of any unwanted snails, foreign or domestic. Luke
