Re: NFC: Redbreast Sunfish ?



   Been off because of big storms . First thing I
checked on spawning said similar to other sunfish
spawnings .... So in general-- A saucer shaped nest
excavated by fanning and/or scooping is made on the
bottom , might be 2 feet or so diameter , male flashes
bright colors at female , spawning hapens in nest ,
male guards nest-eggs-fry untill free swimming .Thats
the contents of the nutshell . One other thing is that
the redbrest is not as much of a colony spawner as
some others .
